Triple-flip Pigtails - Codini triplo-giro

One of my biggest no-no's is that my daughter should go to school with her hair down. She loves to get messy and muddy, but there's no need for her to bring it home in her curly locks. 

Una delle cose che mi danno più fastidio è che mia figlia vada a scuola con i capelli sciolti. A lei piace sporcarsi e riempirsi di fango, non vuol dire però che lo debba portare a casa nei boccoli.

Mondays set the tone for the week. Even if my little one goes to school with a quick bun or ponytail every day for the rest of the week, Monday is usually a great hairstyling day. The only problem with ambitious hairstyles on Mondays is that, well, it's Monday, and who really has the energy?

Il lunedì dà il tono a tutta la settimana. Anche se la mia piccola dovesse andare tutto il resto della settimana con una coda o un cipolla fatta al volo, il lunedì di solito è una giornata d'acconciatura speciale. L'unico problema con le acconciature impegnative di lunedì è che, beh, è lunedì e chi ce l'ha st'energia? 

This is a great Monday morning hairstyle because it requires minimal effort, little time, and it looks very elaborate.

Questa acconciatura è perfetta per il lunedì perché richiede uno sforzo minimo, pochissimo tempo e ha un aspetto molto elaborato.

You can start this hairstyle with dry or damp hair. brush out any knots, part it down the middle, and section off the front of the hair into two sections.

Si può cominciare questa acconciatura con capelli asciutti o umidi. Pettinate bene i capelli per levare tutti i nodi, fate la riga in mezzo e poi dividete la parte più vicina alla fronte in due parti. 

 I kept her bangs down today so I had to go around them, but you can just go straight from the forehead if you prefer. Secure the sections with hair bands. I used little black rubber ones that you HAVE TO cut off to remove because they hold the little sections better. If you are using those, make sure you leave enough room to make a hole in the hair above to flip the section through. Regular hair bands will slide so you can make them a little tighter. 

Ho lasciato giù la sua frangia oggi quindi ho dovuto girarvi intorno, ma se volete potete partire direttamente dalla fronte. Fermate le ciocche con degli elastici. Io ho usato questi piccolini di gomma che bisogna PER FORZA tagliare via, perché tengono meglio queste ciocche piccole. Se usate questo tipo di elastico è importante lasciarsi lo spazio sopra per farvi un buco per poi rigirare la ciocca. Se usate invece gli elastici normali potete stringerli un po' di più visto che si muovono più facilmente.  

Once you have the hair sectioned off, make a hole above the rubber band. Part the hair diagonally from the center of the forehead to the bottom inner-most corner. Use a Topsy (a little plastic tool specifically for this purpose) or your fingers to flip the hair FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. 

Una volta separata la ciocca, fate un buco sopra all'elastico. Dividete i capelli per diagonale partendo dal centro della fronte e arrivando al angolo interno inferiore. Usate un Topsy (un attrezzo speciale fatto apposta per rigirare le code) oppure usate le dita e rigirate il codino DAL ALTO AL BASSO.

Then tighten the section of hair by pulling two halves in opposite directions. 

Poi stringete il codino tirando le due metà in direzioni opposte.

Move to the next section of hair and do the same but in reverse. Part the section from behind the ear up to the top inner-most corner, and flip it BOTTOM TO TOP. 

Spostatevi allora al prossimo codino e fate la stessa cosa ma al contrario. Dividete i capelli da dietro l'orecchio arrivando al angolo interno superiore, rigirate il codino DAL BASSO AL ALTO.  

Section off another piece of hair by parting the hair horizontally from the bottom part of the bottom section to the part in the middle of the head. Secure with another rubber band and flip from TOP TO BOTTOM. 

Prendete un'altra parte di capelli, facendo una riga per orizzontale che parte dalla riga inferiore del codino inferiore e arriva fino alla riga in mezzo. Fermate questo codino con un altro elastico e rigiratelo DAL ALTO AL BASSO. 

 

Collect the rest of the hair on that side and secure it with a hair band.

Raccogliete il resto dei capelli su quel lato con un elastico. 

Repeat on the other side.

Ripetete i passaggi sull'altra metà dei capelli.

Leave as is, or add bows or clips for extra effect.

Lasciateli così come sono oppure aggiungetevi dei fiocchi o mollette.
