Halloween Bookmarks - Segnalibri per Halloween

Happy Halloween! This is a really quick craft that you can do to jumpstart the Halloween season.

Buon Halloween a tutti! Questa è un progetto artistico velocissimo per cominciare bene il periodo di Halloween.

Some of you may remember that I posted a how-to for these bookmarks already, so I'm going to put in a link to that post and just jump right into the decoration process.

Alcuni di voi si ricorderà che ho già fatto un tutorial per questi segnalibri, quindi metto il link a quel tutorial qua sotto e comincio questo post direttamente dalle decorazioni.

Paper Bookmarks - Segnalibro di Carta

For the bat, I used blue paper for the bookmark and I used black and purple for the bat.

Per il pipistrello, ho usato la carta blu per il segnalibro e la carta nera e viola per il pipistrello.

First I made the bookmark base. I used the width of the bookmark as a guide for the lowest points of the bat's wings. I drew the silhouette of the bat on the black paper. Then I cut that out and I also cut out the little purple insides of the ears. You can use as much or as little detail as you like here. I had cut out some funny teeth for the bat but I liked it better with just the ears so I used them for the spider instead.

Per prima cosa ho fatto il segnalibro. Ho usato la larghezza del segnalibro come misura per i punti più bassi delle ali del pipistrello. Ho disegnato la sagoma del pipistrello sulla carta nera, poi l'ho ritagliata e ho tagliato i due pezzi di carta viola pe ril dentro delle orecchie. Potete farlo più o meno dettagliato, io avevo tagliato dei dentini buffi per il mio pipistrellino ma poi alla fine mi piaceva così quindi ho usato i denti per il ragno.

For the pumpkin I used black paper for the bookmark and then orange, black, and green for the pumpkin.

Per la zucca ho usato la carta nera per il segnalibro e poi l'arancione, nero e verde per la zucca.

Again here I made the bookmark first and based the width of my pumpkin on the width on the bookmark. I drew the silhouette of the pumpkin on the orange paper and then I cut out two triangles by folding the paper in order to get to triangles that were the same size, you don't really have to do that since a jack-o-lantern is usually hand cut and often not so symmetrical. Then I cut out another black triangle and the mouth. If you cut out a half moon shape first then you can just cut little teeth into it. Next I cut out the stem, you can use brown or green, I chose green (mainly because the brown from IKEA is awful).

Come prima qui ho fatto prima il segnalibro e l'ho usato come misura per la larghezza della zucca. Ho disegnato la sagoma della zucca sulla carta arancione e poi l'ho ritagliata. Ho tagliato anche due triangoli, piegando la carta a metà per ottenere due triangoli uguali. Non dovete per forza tagliarli uguali perchè i jack-o-lantern sono tradizionalmente tagliati a mano quindi non sono necessariamente symmetrici. Comunque poi ho tagliato un terzo triangolo per il naso e la bocca. Ho tagliato una mezza luna per la bocca e poi ho ritagliato via dei dentini. Poi sono passata al gambo. Potete usare il marrone o il verde per il gambo, io ho scelto il verde (anche perchè la carta marrone d'IKEA è bruttissima).

For the ghost I used orange paper for the bookmark and white and black for the ghost.

Per il fantasma ho usato la carta arancione per il segnalibro e il bianco e il nero per il fantasmino.

I made the bookmark, then my daughter destroyed it so I made another one (joys of parenting). Then I cut out the ghost shape and frayed the bottom with the zig-zag scissors. Then I cut out two eyes, folding the paper in half to get the same shape for both, and I cut out a larger oval for the mouth. This one was the easiest one, and the one that took the least amount of effort and planning.

Ho fatto prima il segnalibro, poi mi figlia lo ha distrutto quindi ne ho fatto un altro (le gioie dell'essere mamma). Poi ho tagliato il fantasma dalla carta bianca ritagliando la parte sotto con le forbici a zig-zag. Poi, piegando la carta nera a metà per ottenere due ovali uguali, ho tagliato gli occhi. Poi ho tagliato un'ovale più grande per la bocca. Questa è stata quella più facile e rapida.

For the spider I used black paper for the bookmark, I used white colored pencil to draw the spiderweb onto it and black and blue paper for the spider.

Per il ragno ho usato la carta nera sia per il segnalibro che per il ragno. Ho usato una matita bianca per disegnare la ragnatela e della carta blu per gli occhi del ragno.

Honestly, I don't love how the spider came out but it was a good effort! I used black for the bookmark and then I cut out the body of the spider using the zig-zag scissors. Then I cut out the legs. I did this by cutting a large triangle out of black paper and then I cut four slits on either side pointing toward the top point. I didn't cut all the way up until I got to the center slits. Measure your triangles against the bookmark and body of the spider to make sure they reach where you want them to go. I wanted them to wrap around the bookmark and attach in the back. I also thought about having the spider hang from the bookmark by a white string, that thought lasted all of four seconds...I have an almost-four-year-old...who was in that moment scribbling all over the bookmark I had set aside for the ghost...that spider would have met a very untimely end. I used blue paper for the eyes, I folded the paper so I could get two identical eyes. Then I used the teeth I had cut out for the bat to finish this bookmark. I think it could have come out better but it's still Halloweeny so it's all good.

Onestamente, il ragno non mi piace tanto com'è venuto però dai ce l'ho messa tutta! Ho usato la carta nera per il segnalibro e poi ho tagliato il corpo del ragno usando le forbici zig-zag. Poi ho tagliato le zampe. Le zampe le ho fatte tagliando due triangoli dalla carta nera e facendo quattro tagli su ogni lato si ciascuna. I tagli li ho fatti andando verso la punta ma senza mai arrivarci del tutto. Solo al centro ho ritagliato un triangolino. Misurate i vostri triangoli sul segnalibro, io volevo che le zampe partissero da sopra e arrivasser dietro il segnalibro, dovete avere un'idea chiara di dove volete che arrivino prima di tagliarle. Avevo pensato di fare il ragno staccato dal segnalibro che penzolava per un filo bianco, come se fosse la ragnatela, ma poi mi sono ricordata che ho una figlia di quasi quattro anni che mi stava in quel momento distruggendo il segnalibro che avevo fatto per il fantasma...quel ragno a penzoloni avrebbe fatto una finaccia. Ho usato della carta blu, piegandola a metà per ottenere due forme uguali, per gli occhi e poi ci ho messo i dentini buffi che avevo tagliato per il pipistrello. Sicurament poteva venire meglio ma è sicuramente molto Halloween-esco quindi va bene così.
