"Kitty Cat" Hairstyle - Capelli "da gattino"

My daughter loves her long hair and (anyone who knows me will attest to this) I am weirdly OCD about her hair being always pulled back. Occasionally I have the time to be creative with these hairstyles, this is one of her favorites. We call it the "Kitty Cat" hairstyle, I'm not really sure why. It's two bow buns, we used to them really high on her head (which is I think where the name came from) but they work nicely at any height.

Ogni tanto ho persino il tempo di fare delle acconciature un po' più creative, questa è una delle sue preferite. Noi la chiamiamo capelli da gattino, non so bene perché ma va bene così. Sono due cipolle a fiocco, le facevamo alti sulla testa quand'era più piccolina (infatti credo che sia per quello che le chiamiamo così) però sono carine a qualsiasi altezza. 

This is a nice spin on regular buns because they look a lot fancier with a really minimal extra effort.

Sono una buona opzione perché sono delle cipolle speciali ma richiedono poco più impegno.

First you start with two pigtails at the desired height. I used the rubber ties because they hold better and these tend to slip out if you don't secure them properly.

Cominciate con due codini all'altezza desiderata. Io ho usato gli elastici di gomma perché tengono meglio e questi fiocchi si sfilano facilmente. 

Next, you're going to split the pigtail in half and wrap the first half around your finger, creating a loop, secure with a rubber tie. 

Poi dividete il primo codino in due e fate girare la prima metà intorno al dito, creando un cappio. Fermate con un elastico. 

Next wrap the remaining length of hair in that piece around the loop, passing between the split in the pigtail. Secure with a rubber tie. This can seem a little hard at first and will drive you crazy the first time you do it but after a couple tries it will be very easy.

Poi fate girare la lunghezza rimasta dei capelli intorno al cappio, passando in mezzo a codino. Fermate con un elastico. Questo passo può sembrare difficile e sicuramente vi farà impazzire le prime volte ma basta riprovare un paio di volte e vi sembrerà facile.

Repeat with the other piece, looping in the opposite direction and wrapping the remaining hair through the middle and around. Secure with a rubber tie, ending in the middle.

Ripete con l'altra metà, facendo il cappio nell'altro verso e avvolgendo i capelli rimasti intorno a tutto il fiocco e in mezzo, fermate con un elastico finendo in mezzo al fiocco per dividerlo bene.

Repeat on the other pigtail.

Ripete con l'altro codino.

This one is a lot easier but doesn't hold as well or look as good.

Questo metodo è più facile ma non si tiene benissimo ed è meno carino. 

Make a loop with half of the pigtail as in the first method, secure loosely with a tie and wrap the remaining hair in a crisscross, sticking the ends of the hair back through the hair tie. Repeat with the other piece. 

Fate il cappio intorno al dito come nel primo metodo, fermate con un elastico lento e fate girare la lunghezza di capelli rimasti intorno al cappio facendo una "x", infilando le punte nel elastico. Ripetete con l'altra metà.
