Vegan Chocolate Cake - Torta al cioccolato vegano
Hi everyone!
My sister recently became a vegan again, and "as a vegan it can be hard to come by good desserts". So naturally I thought I'd make her a special vegan cake to bless this dietary choice. I decided to go with a simple chocolate cake so we could have a recipe to build on. It's a fair bet that there will be several more vegan recipes in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
For this cake you'll need:
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa 100 g cacao amaro
1 1/2 tsp baking soda 7.5 g bicarbonato
1 1/2 tsp baking powder 7.5 g lievito per dolci
1 tsp salt 5 g sale
Replacer for 2 eggs (I used arrowroot flour) Sostituto per due uova (io ho usato la farina di arrowroot)
1/2 cup espresso + 1/2 cup water 115 ml espresso + 115 ml acqua
1/2 cup vegetable oil 115 olio vegetale
2 tsp vanilla extract 10 ml estratto di vaniglia
1 cup boiling water 230 ml acqua bollente
Oil and flour bunt cake pan, and preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Whisk together, create a well in the center and add in wet ingredients.
Whisk together until just combined and pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes. Test with a toothpick or fork to make sure it's cooked through. Let the cake cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes and then flip onto a large plate. If it doesn't come out right away try tapping the back and leave it turned over for a minutes or so, it should pull itself free. Dust with powdered sugar.
Ciao a tutti!

1 tsp salt 5 g sale

Fate cuocere 30-35 minuti.
BUON APPETITO!
