Paper Grass - Erba di carta
Hi!
No Easter basket would be complete without paper grass. I have two methods for you today: egg garden, and crinkly.
This is a good method if you have a large basket or if you want to forgo the basket and just set the eggs in their own little garden homes around the house.
For this method you will need:
A thick strip of paper
Scissors
Curling tool (optional)
Glue or glue stick
You don't have to curl your grass but I think it gives it that extra finished look. I used a pencil as my "curling tool", because I'm fancy like that.
Wrap your strip horizontally around your curling tool. Press down and roll a few times to insure your paper is curled properly. Unfurl your strip.
Cut little slices into your paper, leaving about an inch of solid strip.
Wrap your strip into a circle and glue the ends together, making a circle that is small enough to hold your egg. This is the same as the body of the round baskets but smaller.
You can glue little circles or (tiny flowers if you are so inclined) onto the grass for some Spring feeling.
This was probably my favorite kind of grass when I was little because it's basically confetti but with texture.
For this method you will need:
A piece of paper
Scissors
First fold your paper in an accordion fold as tightly as possible.
Keep it tightly folded and cut into 1/8 inch or smaller pieces.
Partially unfold.
Ciao!
Per questo metodo vi serviranno:
Una striscia spessa di carta
Forbici
Uno strumento per arricciare (facoltativo)
Colla o colla stick
You don't have to curl your grass but I think it gives it that extra finished look. I used a pencil as my "curling tool", because I'm fancy like that.
Wrap your strip horizontally around your curling tool. Press down and roll a few times to insure your paper is curled properly. Unfurl your strip.
Cut little slices into your paper, leaving about an inch of solid strip.
Fate tanti tagli a poca distanza l'uno dal altro, lasciando circa 2 cm di carta intera sotto.
Wrap your strip into a circle and glue the ends together, making a circle that is small enough to hold your egg. This is the same as the body of the round baskets but smaller.
You can glue little circles or (tiny flowers if you are so inclined) onto the grass for some Spring feeling.
Crinkly Grass - L'erba crespa
For this method you will need:
A piece of paper
Scissors
Per questo metodo vi serviranno:
Un pezzo di carta
Forbici
First fold your paper in an accordion fold as tightly as possible.
Keep it tightly folded and cut into 1/8 inch or smaller pieces.
Partially unfold.
Aprite parzialmente.
